The Dow historically gains 10 percent per year, and has never lost value over any decade-period since it was created a dozen or so decades ago. Most calculators work like my calculator, if U begin 4 example with the number of 780 and then punch in TIMES TEN PERCENT EQUALS, or (X 10%=) A NEW NUMBER WILL SHOW UP ON THE SCREEN.
